Understanding DEEP WORK from Cal Newport

Cal Newport’s book “So Good They Can’t Ignore You” changed the way I think about a lot of things, especially my view of being “passionate” about what we do. Cal comes back on the Business Builders Show, which is distributed by C-Suite Radio (www.c-suiteradio.com) to talk about his latest book “DEEP WORK: Rules For Focused Success IN A DISTRACTED WORLD”. You do not have to be constantly overwhelmed with technology, social media, etc. Cal Newport coined the term “deep work” in a series of articles published on his popular blog Study Hacks: Decoding Patterns of Success.  Cal lives in Washington, D.C. where he is a writer and an assistant professor of computer science at Georgetown University. I have tremendous respect for Cal. You can reach him at www.calnewport.com. And be sure to check out other Business Builders episodes on C-Suite Radio (www.c-suiteradio.com).
